Campus Digital Signage

SFSU's digital signage system includes 15 displays in high-traffic campus locations. Digital displays are used to share University-sponsored events, announcements and public service messages relevant to students and the campus community.

How It Works

  1. Submit your design using the Digital Display Request Form
  2. We review your file for accessibility, editorial and design standards
  3. Approved content is published on campus displays

Please note: Only University-sponsored events or advertisements are accepted

What an Approved Display Looks Like

Word count (25 words or fewer)

Digital displays rotate quickly. Slides with too much text are difficult to read at a distance.

Do: Learn about campus services available to students.

File format

Digital displays support specific file types only.

Don't: PDF, PowerPoint, Word documents
Do: JPG, PNG (static) • MP4 or M4V (video)

QR codes (accessibility)

Slides with QR codes must also include the written URL so all users can access the information.

Don't: QR code only
Do: QR code with URL: marcomm.sfsu.edu

Accessibility note

All displays must meet WCAG Level AA color contrast standards. If you’re unsure, submit your design file and we can help review or make adjustments.
